I found some of the concepts hard to sort out as there was either an assumption (which I assume was unintentional) that you knew how to play Blades in the Dark built into the book.

I might run this once or twice more unless someone wants to GM it for me. But I will admit, it is a borderline call for me. As the drama amps up though, it gets more interesting. If they don't the game play is pretty flat. The game assumes the players will get invested in the factions. So, it seems the goal of playing is to find out how much consequences the PCs earn for their efforts. In fact, I find it hard to imagine a situation where they wouldn't. BUT, they will almost always succeed at their mission. The PCs will basically always be harrowed, surrounded and outnumbered. All but the best rolls will result in the GM having to add complications to the PCs lives. I am GM'ing a campaign right now (we are close to finishing our 3rd mission):
